Blue Chip Creamery opens new location at CT Science Center

Blue Chip Creamery, owned by husband-and-wife team Matt and Cristina Zajac of Glastonbury, has opened a storefront location in the lobby of the Connecticut Science Center.

The location sells Blue Chip’s full menu of locally sourced ice cream, handmade chillwiches, fresh waffle cones, baked goods and coffee.

Blue Chip began with a refurbished ice cream truck, which the Zajacs purchased shortly before they were married in 2017.

Since then, the business has expanded and the Zajacs’ products are now available in stores across Connecticut. The pair have received accolades for their creations, which have won awards for “best desert” and “best ice cream” in local competitions.
