Bloomfield’s Kaman inks long-term contract with jet engine manufacturer

A Vermont-based subsidiary of Bloomfield aerospace manufacturer Kaman entered into a long-term agreement with a major engine maker to build jet engine parts.

Kaman Composites – Vermont Inc.’s contract has a potential value of $118 million, but the customer is being kept secret.

A Kaman spokesman said Friday that the contract prohibits him from identifying the company publicly.

“This award is recognition of Kaman’s partnership with our customers and our ability to deliver on programs that are challenging from a technical perspective,” Mark Withrow, Kaman’s president and general manager of U.S. Composites, said in a statement.
