Bloomfield’s Kaman gets $52M fuze order

Bloomfield manufacturer Kaman Corp. says its aerospace segment has scored another bomb fuze order worth $52 million from the U.S. Air Force (USAF).

Kaman announced the contract on Thursday for the batch of joint programmable fuzes (JPF), which will be built in Middletown and Orlando, Fla.

The manufacturer, the sole provider of the JPF, has received over $600 million in orders for the fuzes this year, said Kaman President Richard Barnhart.

The company also received a $48.6 million fuze order in September.
