Omnetics designs and manufactures connectors used in defense and space, commercial aerospace, and medical applications.
Bloomfield-based Arxis, the aerospace and defense components manufacturer that includes the former operations of Kaman Corp., says it has completed its $770 million acquisition of Minneapolis-based Omnetics Connector Corporation.
Omnetics designs and manufactures proprietary Micro-D-Sub and Nano-D-Sub connectors and interconnect assemblies used in defense and space, commercial aerospace, and medical applications.
Arxis says Omnetics will operate within its electronic components segment.
Arxis was first formed as a portfolio company of private equity firm Arcline Investment Management.
Arcline acquired aerospace manufacturer Kaman in a $1.8 billion deal in 2024 and combined its operations with several other companies including Quantic Electronics, Qnnect, and Sanders Industries.
Arxis then launched an initial public offering in April of 2026, selling some 46.6 million shares of Class A common stock.
Total gross proceeds from the IPO were approximately $1.3 billion. Arcline Investment Management and its affiliated funds own about 99% of the total voting power of Arxis’s outstanding common stock.
Arxis reported about $1.6 billion in revenue in 2025 and $46 million in net income.
