The heads of a California-based company touting itself as the largest independent auto glass wholesaler in the nation recently paid $6.6 million for a Bloomfield industrial building.
Mygrant Glass Chairman Michael R. Mygrant and company secretary Catherine L. Mygrant are the principals of MRP CT ST LLC, a limited liability company that purchased a 56,320-square-foot flex industrial building on nine acres at 8 Belden Road in Bloomfield.
The property was sold by Metcalfe Realty LLC, of Bonita Springs, Fla., according to a deed recorded Jan. 12. The industrial building at 8 Belden Road was finished in 2007. The property sold to Metcalfe for $3.4 million in late 2009, according to town assessing records.
Mygrant Glass maintains a warehouse at 8 Belden Road, one of 67 locations nationwide, according to its website.
Mygrant launched in 1926 as Harry R. Mygrant Glass & Glazing, a retail shop, according to its website. Company Chairman Michael R. Mygrant is the grandson of the company’s founder.
