A Bloomfield supplier of granite and marble has opened its fourth Connecticut location, following its purchase of U.S. Granite in Danbury.
A limited liability company controlled by Jacquisson De Oliveira, co-owner of Bloomfield-based Timeless Stone Marble & Granite, recently paid $2.5 million for U.S. Granite’s Danbury showroom, at 39 Newtown Road.
In an interview, De Oliveira said he and his brother, Jalisson De Oliveira, bought the 25,500-square-foot, one-story Danbury building, and the U.S. Granite business, in order to expand their operations.
He declined to disclose terms of the business transaction.
Timeless is a supplier of granite and marble slabs, which now has four locations. It also has outposts in Bloomfield, Stamford and Cromwell.
“We want to be able to reach the New York area,” Jacquisson De Oliveira said Thursday morning. “We really like the location.
Timeless purchased the property from Robert Basar, of Stamford, doing business as Robert H Basar Properties LLC.
Basar, according to his LinkedIn profile, was the CEO of U.S. Granite, a supplier of granite counter tops, slabs, kitchen counters, vanity tops, stone counter tops, fireplace surrounds, Jacuzzi tops, sinks, faucets, tubs, tiles, mosaics and kitchen cabinetry.
The Danbury building, which sits on 1.38 acres and was built in 1979, is appraised at $2.37 million and assessed at $1.66 million, property records show.
