Bloomfield’s FMi Chemical said it has signed a distribution agreement with a California company that will supply aerospace customers with FMi’s heat-resistant silicone sealant products.
Under the agreement, Packaging Systems will sell FMi’s Thermosil product line, which are used by jet-engine manufacturers and repairers. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Nancy Daigle, director of operations and finance for FMi, said in a statement that the deal will help the company reach new customers in areas that had proven challenging in the past.
Pratt & Whitney has been a major customer for FMi, which began selling its sealants worldwide last year.
