Birdcode, a Connecticut-based fast-casual restaurant serving spicy chicken, is set to open its fourth location in the state on Friday.
The latest restaurant is located at 474 Hartford Road in New Britain, a former commuter lot just down the street from Corbin’s Corner in West Hartford.
The restaurant is next to Starbucks and across the street from Target and Costco.
Founded in 2020 by Connecticut residents Phil and Brandi Killoran, Birdcode offers a menu rooted in southern hospitality. It features hot chicken sandwiches and tenders served at five spice levels, ranging from no heat “Country” to the “Code Breaker.”
It also offers sides, sauces and desserts made fresh in-house.
The 2,500-square-foot restaurant offers dine-in, takeout and delivery options via the Birdcode app and online at eatbirdcode.com. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Birdcode’s other restaurants in the state are located at 151 Post Road in Darien; at 35 Talcottville Road in Vernon; and at 120 Park Road in West Hartford. New restaurants are expected to open soon in Brookfield, Canton and Cheshire.
