Biohaven Pharmaceuticals Inc. has purchased another downtown New Haven property next to its main headquarters as it continues expanding throughout the Elm City.

The New Haven-based drug company bought 209 Church St., for $2.35 million from Church 209 LLC in a deal recorded May 8. Church 209 bought the property for $1.7 million in 2020, according to city records.

The former bank building features 8,900 square feet and was built in 1929.

Biohaven officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday morning on the company’s plans for the new Church Street property, but previous reports stated Biohaven is looking to create a New Haven campus-type presence.
