Bigs Ignite, the Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters affinity group, has raised $3,600 in support of Nutmeg's annual Bowl-for-Kids'-Sake fundraiser. The Community Child Guidance Clinic received a $6,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation's H. Louise Ruddell Charitable Fund. The Clinic will use these funds to support the provision of interpreter services, translation information and materials about the clinic in different languages, and complete minor updates to make the clinic more welcoming to the population of children and families served.

Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation of Bloomfield received a $4,000 grant from the Farmington Bank Community Foundation. The funds will support Fidelco's services to clients, prospective clients, and volunteer puppy raisers in towns served by the Foundation.

The Hartford Marathon Foundation raised 1,268 pounds of food at four of its St. Patrick's Day themed races in March as part of its “HMF Can” initiative. The initiative encourages runners to bring donations on race day for food banks within the communities that race events are held.
