Online lodging company Airbnb named a Bethlehem woman as its “most hospitable host” in Connecticut based on criteria it developed to evaluate the quality of listings.

The distinction went to Ashley Schoenknecht, who hosts the listing for Breezy Crest Farmhouse in Bethlehem.
San Francisco-based Airbnb, which operates an online marketplace for short- and long-term rentals, recently released a report highlighting the “most hospitable host” in each U.S. state.
Hosts were evaluated based on their rate of five-star reviews in the categories cleanliness, check-in and communication.
Schoenknecht has received more than nearly 150 reviews – without once getting less than a five-star review in those categories.
“I’ve always had a passion for hosting, whether it’s organizing dinner parties or welcoming weekend visitors,” Schoenknecht said. “I enjoy curating every aspect of the design and overall experience, and I take pleasure in sharing my space with others.”
She uses Airbnb to list the guest suite of her 1841 farmhouse near Litchfield. The suite includes one-bedroom and one-bathroom for two guests, along with a workspace and high-speed internet, a garden view; TV with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and other providers; a private backyard and free parking for two vehicles.
“Enjoy the sunrise from bed and shady afternoons under the giant maples,” the website description says. “Listen to the frogs chirp and the birds sing in the spacious backyard.”
The listing says a one-night stay costs $183.
