Sheila Riley, a mother who travels frequently to visit her two kids in college, won’t be paying out of her pocket for gasoline for a while. The Berlin motorist is one of six New Englanders who won $2,100 of gasoline from New Hamphshire retailer Irving Oil Co., which has gas stations in Connecticut.
Riley participated in the Irving Rewards gas savings program it launched last summer.
Frequent fuelers in Irving’s program get a dime-a-gallon discount the next fill up after they reach $200 in fuel purchases.Â
Irving say more than 100,000 customers have registered their Irving Rewards cards online since the program began June 1.
Due to its success, the rewards program is being extended until New Year’s Eve, officials said.
