Greenwich property-casualty insurer W. R. Berkley Corp. said it named a former United Kingdom insurance executive to run its newly-formed office of enterprise risk management.
As a senior vice president, Gillian James will identify, analyze, model, respond to and monitor risk, events and opportunities, the insurer said. Her appointment is effective Thursday.
James has more than 20 years of experience in the U.K. insurance and financial services industries. She has a math degree from Cardiff University and is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
