Saranda Belica recently joined the University of Connecticut as a senior advisor for strategic initiatives with the Office of Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
In this new role, Belica will work with a coalition of partners to advance the Quantum-CT initiative, a partnership between UConn and Yale University. The new venture aims to transform Connecticut into a nationwide hub for quantum-related companies across the pharmaceutical, biotech, energy, advanced manufacturing, insurance and financial services sectors.
Belica, who works out of UConn’s Farmington office, previously worked at AdvanceCT and developed the state’s offshore wind sector.
