Begansky named chairman of Winsted bank

Granby accountant Ronald J. Begansky has been elected chairman of Northwest Community Bank in Winsted.

Previously vice chairman, Bergansky succeeds William J. Darcey, who retired from the bank’s board over the weekend.

Begansky is a certified public accountant and runs his own accounting firm in Granby. He resides in Simsbury.

Formed in 1860, Northwest Community is a state-chartered bank owned by its depositors, with branches in Avon, East Granby, Granby, New Hartford, Torrington, and an academic branch at Northwestern Regional High School in Winsted.
