Loretta Bedus has been named director of the Substance Abuse Action Council at Community Mental Health Affiliates Inc.
She most recently served as clinical liaison/clients right officer for the agency’s Young Adult Services program. Bedus previously worked as assistant resources and services coordinator for Ability Beyond Disability, a state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services residential program for young adults.
Bedus will be based at CMHA’s administrative headquarters in New Britain.
The Substance Abuse Action Council of Central Connecticut, a division of CMHA, is a partnership of community members from 14 municipalities advocating on behalf of substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery.
