The Swiss parent of Southington-based Baumer Ltd. has merged four motion products divisions into a single unit, newly formed Baumer Motion Control.
Baumer Group, a global maker and marketer of precision sensors used in automation, graphics, machine tools and specialty machines, said the consolidation ranks it among the world’s largest suppliers of motion products.
In America, Baumer Motion Control products will be marketed through Baumer Ltd., the company’s U.S. subsidiary, said Baumer Ltd. President Ken Talentino.
Previously, products were marketed in the U.S. separately by Baumer, Baumer Hübner, Baumer IVO, and Baumer Thalheim.
