Office of Policy Management Secretary Benjamin Barnes has appointed Susan Weisselberg as deputy secretary.
Weisselberg, who most recently worked for the New Haven school system, succeeds Karen Buffkin, who is Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s new general counsel.
From 2009 to 2012, Weisselberg was chief legal counsel to the Connecticut General Assembly’s House Democrats. She also worked for OPM in the 1990s.
She starts work Jan. 26.
