Bristol manufacturer Barnes Group said the head of its aerospace business will retire next year.
Richard R. Barnhart, Barnes senior vice president and president of Barnes Aerospace, notified the company he will retire at the end of June.
He has been with Barnes for a decade and in the aerospace sector for twice that amount of time.
Barnes said last month that its aerospace sales for the first three quarters of the year were down 4 percent to $314.9 million, with flat operating profits of $50 million, and an higher profit margin of 15.9 percent, up from 15.3 percent.
