Barnes Aerospace names new president

Bristol-based Barnes Group Inc., an international industrial and aerospace manufacturer, has appointed Michael Beck president of Barnes Aerospace and senior vice president of Barnes Group Inc. effective immediately.

Beck succeeds Richard Barnhart, who is retiring from the company effective June 2016.

Prior to joining Barnes Group, Beck was the senior vice president and general manager of Fuel and Motion Control, a $1 billion division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group. Beck had full profit and loss responsibility, managing nine manufacturing locations in the United States and United Kingdom.

Beck holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Lincolnshire and Humberside University in the United Kingdom.

Barnes announced recently its 2015 income was up 2.5 percent. Barnes said its full-year profits totalled $121.3 million, or $2.19 per share, up from $118.3 million, or $2.12 per share, in 2014.
