Bristol-based Barnes Aerospace has completed its acquisition of Kansas-based Jet AirWerks, a provider of inspection, repair, overhaul and disassembly services for commercial aeroengine components.
Barnes says the deal advances its long-term growth strategy, expands its component repair and overhaul capabilities and broadens the aftermarket services it can provide to commercial aerospace customers.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, Jet AirWerks provides component repair and in-house processing services, primarily for engines made by GE Aerospace and CFM International.
Barnes Group, a staple of Connecticut’s aerospace supply chain sector, was acquired in January 2025 by private equity firm Apollo Global Management in a $3.6 billion deal. Apollo split the business into two separate entities, Barnes Aerospace and The Industrial Solutions Group.
Mike Mosley was appointed CEO of Barnes Aerospace in January 2026.
