Albertus president named to national leadership role

Albertus Magnus College President Marc M. Camille has been elected to serve on the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Division III Presidents Council, for a four-year term.
He started in the role in January.
The council establishes and oversees division policies. It handles strategic planning, sponsors legislation and advocates to the NCAA Board of Governors on the division’s behalf.
The council has 20 members, and includes 18 college presidents or chancellors, plus two student athletes. Representatives come from around the country.
Camille will represent Albertus Magnus and the college’s home athletic conference, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
Camille said he looks forward to working with fellow council members.
“At Albertus, the student athletes on our 17 NCAA teams strive for excellence in competition, in the classroom and in the community,” Camille said. “They are a source of pride for our community and I’m proud to represent them in this new leadership role.”
