BANK OF AMERICA VOLUNTEERS AT BACK TO SCHOOL FAMILY LITERACY KICKOFF

The Hartford Public Schools Office of Early Literacy & Parent Engagement, in collaboration with the Hartford Public Library, Mega Education, the Hartford Department of Families, Children, Youth and Recreation, and the Hartford Literacy Network, recently sponsored the Back to School Family Literacy Kickoff at the Hartford Public Library. Hartford-area children and their families attended the kickoff to receive free school supplies, books and more. Pictured, volunteers from Bank of America’s Connecticut Hispanic and Latino Employee Affinity Group (HOLA) help fill 100 backpacks with school supplies to distribute to local Hartford school children for the start of the upcoming school year.
