Avon’s Peter M. Bakker Agency Inc. and Farmington’s Visionary Private Wealth Management Group have partnered to offer their services under Bakker’s roof, authorities say.
The firms will share Bakker Agency’s more than 10,000-square-foot office at 302 W. Main St./Route 44. Visionary was previously at 321 Main St. in Farmington.
“After learning the difference between a broker and a fee-only registered investment advisor, we wanted to make sure we partner up with a firm that has a fiduciary responsibility to place clients’ interest ahead of theirs,” Bakker Agency co-founder Peter Bakker said.
Visionary was started in 2013 by Michael Mezheritskiy and Ed Romanowsky. It will add one or two employees within the next year.
Bakker Agency has 30 staffers in Avon and New Hartford.
