The Fresh Market plans to open its second Connecticut store by early next year in Avon’s Nod Brook Mall, officials say.
Farmington commercial realty broker SullivanHayes Companies says the Greensboro, N.C. specialty retailer negotiated with New York landlord Midwood Management to open in 18,000 square feet later this year or early next in the Route 44 center anchored by Marshall’s and Michael’s Arts & Crafts.
The retail newcomer will occupy a pad site on which a new structure will be erected to house it, a spokeswoman says.
Fresh Market’s two New England stores — in Westport and in Hingham, Mass. — are among its more than 100 stores in 20 states.
