Norwalk-based Avara Pharmaceutical Services said it has completed its acquisition of a GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) consumer healthcare manufacturing facility in Aiken, S.C.
The acquisition “expands our services by adding additional solid dose capability in the United States, which is in very high demand,” said Timothy C. Tyson, chairman and CEO of Avara, an international pharmaceutical services company that provides contract manufacturing and technical services to the industry.
Avara now has eight sites: three in the United States, one in Puerto Rico, one in the United Kingdom, one in Ireland, one in Italy, and one in France
