Avangrid’s Novicki named board president of Orange chamber

The Orange Chamber of Commerce has elected a new board of directors president: Ted Novicki, manager, key accounts for Avangrid. Novicki, who lives in Orange, has been a chamber director since 2017.

Before he joined Avangrid in 2012, Novicki worked in sales and project-management roles for John Hancock, Pfizer and Metro Business Systems. He earned a BA in government from Connecticut College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Headquartered in Orange, Avangrid is the parent company of the United Illuminating Co. and Southern Connecticut Gas.

Jason Rieger

Jason Rieger of Wallingford has been named executive director of the Ivy at Watertown Assisted Living Residential Community, scheduled to open in February. Rieger will oversee administration of operations including dining, housekeeping, activities, maintenance, transportation, nursing and wellness plus service providers such as physicians, home health providers, life enhancement professionals and others. The new community houses 89 studio, one- and two-bedroom assisted-living units, as well as a specialized memory-support environment called Reflections.

Christopher Pateman

Colliers Project Leaders | USA have named Christopher Pateman a director in the firm’s Stamford office. Pateman has worked in all major facets of the construction industry in southern Connecticut and the lower Hudson Valley, including projects for the New York City School Construction Authority, the City of Yonkers and multiple school districts in Westchester County and Long Island. He earned his BS in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his AS in architectural engineering from the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston.

J. Rockwell Allen, ChFC has joined the Private Capital Group, LLC as the newest member of the firm’s financial planning team. Allen was formerly a member of the financial planning practice of APW Wealth Advisors in West Springfield, Mass. He rejoins his former partners in that firm, Keith Wetjen and Peter Pabich, who are now part of the Private Capital Group. He earned his Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College in 1983.  He also earned both master’s and BA degrees from Springfield College.
