Former Assistant Attorney General Joy Avallone has been named counsel to the Insurance Association of Connecticut (IAC), the state’s top insurance association.
In her new role, Avallone will serve as one of the chief lobbyists for Connecticut’s insurance and financial services industry. As assistant attorney general, she specialized in defending workers’ compensation cases on behalf of the state of Connecticut and the Second Injury Fund.
