A Torrington-based commercial developer has the green light on plans forĀ a new auto repair shop in Southington.
The town Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved a site plan application by the Calito Development Group LLC and principal Gary Eucalitto out of Torrington.
Eucalitto will build Caliber Collision, a 12,670-square-foot auto repair facility at 1300 South Main St., in the Plantsville section of town.
The building will feature a front office/retail area and nearly a dozen garage bays, including some for oversized vehicles, according to the site plans, which are currently before the townās Inland Wetlands agency.
Eucalitto is a partner in Sound Development Group and has built numerous Dollar Generals, pharmacies and other retail projects throughout Connecticut.Ā
The 4-acre Southington parcel is in a busy commercial stretch off Route 10. The vacant property is owned by 1300 South Main LLC out of Farmington, affiliated with principal Forrest E. Crisman Jr. It has a total appraised value of $300,000.
