A Bethany lobbyist must pay a $2,300 state ethics fine for failing to register her affiliation in 2013, the state says.
Sandy Breslin, a lobbyist for the National Audubon Society in Southbury, registered in March 2013, two months after the official deadline, the Office of State Ethics said Friday.
Breslin admitted failing to file on time with the state for more than five years and has not timely registered within either of the last two registration periods, the ethics office said. She was fined the equivalent of $20 for each day she was unregistered – double the usual sum imposed to ensure future compliance.
Breslin also failed to timely file her most-recent year-end report which discloses income she received for lobbying in 2013, the office said.
