AT&T is hosting a day-long job fair Thursday in downtown Hartford to fill more than 130 openings, mostly technical jobs paying union wages, officials say.
The fair is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Hartford, 315 Trumbull St., in the Hartford Commons Room on the second floor.
The telecom giant preparing to acquire T-Mobile USA for $39 billion says the Connecticut hiring reflects continued expansion of its wireless and U-verse business segments.
Open positions include installation technicians, retail sales and sales managers, network repair technicians, door-to-door sales, and service representatives. The majority of the positions are union-represented and all offer competitive wages and benefits.
