A Hartford attorney has acquired a 18,000-square-foot office building in the city's West End for $750,000.
Matt Conway purchased the building at 641 Farmington Ave. from Brooklyn, N.Y., landlord Yisroel Rabinowitz, who bought it some seven years ago, the seller said.
Conway plans to occupy most of the building that was about 70 percent occupied at sale time, Rabinowitz said.
Rabinowitz has been an active commercial-property buyer-seller in the Hartford region. Notably, he acquired and converted a former Masonic hall on Ann Uccello Street into the 26-unit The Grand on Ann apartments. He also owns the 11 Asylum St. office-retail building downtown, housing Burger King and the Hartford Parking Authority.
In Farmington, Rabinowitz's purchase and conversion of the former Keiler & Co. advertising/marketing office building at 304 Main St. into the Bridge Healing Arts Center recently added alternative healers and a psychologist as tenants, he said.
$750K Cromwell listing
A Cromwell retail pad site is on the market with a $750,000 pricetag.
The 0.58-acre site at 33 Berlin Road includes a 3,184-square-foot building. The property also is available for lease at $25 a square foot, said listing broker Reno Properties Group LLC.
The site is in proximity to a Super Stop & Shop and a Super Kmart.
W. Hfd. $750K building
A 10,365-square-foot West Hartford industrial building is on the market for $750,000, brokers say.
The 37-year-old building on 0.73 acres at 11 Sherman St. is currently home to machine-tool distributor Apostle & Nelson Inc.
The building has 4,080 square feet of air-conditioned office-engineering space, 18-foot clear height, and one dock door, according to listing broker Sentry Commercial.
Manchester price cut
The 6,000-square-foot industrial facility for sale in Manchester has undergone a price reduction, to $375,000, brokers say.
Located at 697 Parker St. and easily accessible from I-84, the building hastwo 12-foot-by-12-foot drive-in doors, 1,050 square feet of office space and 600-amp/480-volt power. It also has a new shingle roof.

A 33,450-square-foot industrial building in East Hartford sold recently for $939,000, brokers say.
Bigson LLC purchased 178-182 Roberts St. on 1.74 acresfrom Eastern Partners LLC.
Sentry Commercial was the sole broker in this transaction.
N. Britain office suites
A Class B medical-office building in Newington's center has a pair of office suites available for lease.
The 27,549-square-foot building at 66 Cedar St. offers one 1,580-square-foot suite, plus another with 1,692 square feet, according to lease broker Reno Properties Group LLC. Both are priced at $15 per square foot gross, plus electricity.
