AT&T Inc. has completed the sale of a company that provides Wi-Fi hotspots in hotels and McDonald’s restaurants, The Associated Press reports.
Wayport Holdings A/S, the European subsidiary of Wayport Inc., was sold to a subsidiary to the Swiss telecommunications company Swisscom AG.
AT&T bought the company in 2008 for $275 million and will continue to operate the U.S. business.
Financial terms were not disclosed when the sale closing was announced Friday.
