Utah-based Spring Mobile, which sells AT&T wireless phones, has purchased 12 stores in Connecticut as part of a national buy of 53 locations, the company announced Tuesday.
This is Spring’s most significant acquisition to date and its first foray into Connecticut. The Connecticut stores are located in Hartford, New Britain, Wallingford, Waterbury, Wethersfield, Stratford, Cheshire, Windsor, Lisbon, Killingly, Willimantic, and Winsted.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company, owned by retailer GameStop, now has 298 stores in 26 states, adding more than 200 stores in the last year.
