The Hartford InsurTech Hub is partnering with Atlanta-based Crawford & Company, an insurance companies claims manager, to improve efficiency and innovation.
Crawford & Company will add claims expertise to assist startups in the acceleration process in the hub, said Sabine VanderLinden, CEO, Startupbootcamp InsurTech, which operates the hub.
The announcement comes as the InsurTech program recently welcomed its first group of startups in Hartford, with 11 companies from five countries: Australia, Canada, India, Singapore, and the United States. The 2018 cohort provides a range of insurance products or services using artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and natural language processing combined with cybersecurity, smart home, and health insurance.
Crawford & Company joins other insurance players partnered with the hub: Cigna, The Hartford, Travelers, USAA, White Mountains and CTNext.
