Patriotic cans, a new brew and a celebrity athlete mark Athletic Brewing’s latest growth push.
As backyard barbecue and beach season begins, Connecticut-based Athletic Brewing announced it is rolling out its biggest summer marketing campaign yet, betting continued consumer demand for nonalcoholic beer will carry through the warmer months.
The Milford-founded brewer said its summer campaign includes a new national TV commercial, limited-edition patriotic packaging for its Run Wild IPA and a seasonal fruit-flavored nonalcoholic radler called Fruited Fields.
The company, which did not disclose the campaign’s cost, also signed its first professional baseball brand ambassador, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández.
Athletic said its off-premise dollar sales have risen nearly 24% year over year. The company attributed the growth to rising demand for nonalcoholic beer.
