Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquires Farmington benefits agency

An Illinois company has acquired Farmington-based employee benefits agency WDK Benefits LLC.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, announced Wednesday that it had purchased the Farmington firm. 

Gallagher is a publicly traded global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services company.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WDK Benefits provides benefits for businesses throughout New England. President John Kaufman and his associates will remain in their current location at 20 Batterson Park Road, the announcement says. 

“WDK Benefits has a strong record of growth with a culture aligned with our own, and their employee benefits expertise will enhance our capabilities in New England,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

Also on Wednesday, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire Williamsville, New York-based The Evans Agency LLC, a commercial property/casualty insurance broker.
