“A Magical Evening for The Benton” celebrated the completion of two years of restoration work and the installation of state-of-the-art climate control equipment in the collegiate gothic style building that houses Connecticut’s official art museum. Proceeds will be used to continue the Benton’s long-standing tradition of providing free public arts programming. Pictured are, from left, Thomas Bruhn, interim director of UConn’s William Benton Museum of Art; Susan Herbst, president of the University of Connecticut; David Woods, dean of the School of Fine Arts, and Secretary of State Denise Merrill.
