Hartford area sales of existing houses and condominiums rose again last month but their sale prices are still anemic vs. a year ago, local Realtors say.
Single-family house sales rose 4.5 percent in October to 875 units from 837 sold the same month last year, the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors said Tuesday.
Median prices fell 7.6 percent to $208,000 from $225,000 the previous October.
Condo sales grew 18.5 percent to 224 units sold last month from 183 in October 2013, GHAR said.

Their prices were flat at $144,500 vs. $146,000 a year ago.
