Ardent Displays, an East Hartford manufacturer of retail displays and consumer-goods packaging, officially relocated Friday to larger quarters in town and added three employees.
Ardent, opened in 1987, renovated a 221,700-square-foot facility at 95 Leggett St.
It corporate offices are up front while in back are its sales, manufacturing and design teams. The balance of the building houses the assembly and light manufacturing operations.
“As a result of the expansion and renovation, three new account managers have recently joined the team”, said Donald Budnick, Ardent President and CEO.
Under the guidance of East Hartford building officials, the facility now utilizes the latest materials and energy-saving technology.  State-of-the-art equipment includes computer-aided design tables as well as high-tech digital printing equipment. Utilization of the adjacent rail spur will result in a significant reduction of Ardent’s shipping costs and carbon footprint.
BKM and PODS lease commercial space at the facility as well. The construction was done by Delta Building.
Rockville Bank financed the expansion and renovation.
