Aquarion Water announced on Monday the start of a two-phase water main replacement project in Stamford, to be completed in conjunction with the realignment of the streets around Stamford Hospital.
The first phase of the work to be complete in mid-March replaces a six-inch cast iron water main with a 12-inch ductile iron main on Spruce Street.
The second phase to be completed in early May replaces the water main on Wright Street, which will be closed to traffic for 60 days during the roadway realignment project.
