Bridgeport-based utility Aquarion Water Co. is asking its Fairfield County customers to conserve water in light of a recent lack of rainfall that’s reduced its reservoirs below normal levels.
The company, which said it has conversed with municipal officials, is asking customers in Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan and Darien not to water their lawns until Monday.
Connecticut is experiencing a “moderate drought,” according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
