Five private student apartment buildings with 231 units in the shadow of the University of Connecticut’s campus in the Storrs section of Mansfield have sold for $16.1 million, realty authorities say.
Chozick Realty Inc., which brokered the sale, said Wednesday that it is the broker on two more Mansfield complexes, with 172 units, have just hit the auction block with a post-Thanksgiving bid deadline.
For sale is the 96-unit Orchard Acres Apartments, directly adjacent to the campus, and the 76-unit Renwood Apartments on Route 195, just south of campus. The bid deadline is Nov. 29.
In the latest sale, RRE VIP Mansfield LLC sold the portfolio consisting of 160 one-bedroom, and 199 two-bedroom units. The buyer’s identity wasn’t immediately disclosed.
