• Barbara Hance, owner of Barbara H. Hance Associates in Farmington, earned the designation of Professional Daily Money Manager from the American Association of Daily Money Managers. Hance was one of 21 people in 12 states to earn eligibility for the distinction.
• The New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks received a $5,000 donation from the Maximilian E. & Marion O. Hoffman Foundation Inc. for the SOAR for Science program in the Greater Hartford area.
• Foodshare in Bloomfield received the most food donations in a single year to date in 2007, with 11,027,515 pounds collected as of early December.
