Mary P. Guerrera was named medical director of the integrative medicine program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. Guerrera is a family physician at the Family Medicine Center at Asylum Hill, the training program for Saint Francis. The hospital also hired Patricio G. Bruno as specialist in family medicine. Bruno was previously a hospitalist at Hartford Hospital.
KarraLynn Strickland was appointed producer of the Fox 61 Morning Show at Fox 61 WTIC-TV in Hartford. Strickland was most recently evening news producer at the CBS affiliate WFMY.
David S. Federman, founding and managing partner of Federman, Lally & Remis, was elected to the national board of directors of the Arthritis Foundation. Federman was most recently chairman of the Northern & Southern New England chapter board of directors of the foundation.
Hartford Seminary in Hartford named Efrain Agosto academic dean. Agosto is currently professor of New Testament at the school. Yahya M. Michot was hired as professor of Islamic studies and Christian-Muslim relations. Michot was previously Islamic Centre lecturer at Oxford University and fellow of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.
The University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington hired Arni Kristjansson as a dermatologist. Kristjansson was formerly a fellow in dermatopathology at Case Western Reserve University and the University Hospitals of Cleveland.
The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. in Simsbury promoted Laura Marzi to assistant vice president of marketing services in the group benefits division. Marzi was most recently director of marketing communications in the division. Melinda Thompson was promoted to vice president and managing director of the Southeast division’s property and casualty operations. Thompson was previously division sales director at the company’s Western division.
Michael C. Lindberg, former acting director of the department of medicine at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, was named director of the department.
Eastern Connecticut Health Network in Manchester appointed Greta Hansen Boynton medical director of the network’s hospitalist program. Boynton was most recently co-medical director at Baystate Medical Center.
