A pair of apartment complexes — one in Middletown and the other in Torrington — have sold to a single buyer for a combined $6.1 million, authorities say.
In Middletown, the 96-unit Fernwood Apartments sold for $5 million.
In Torrington, Westridge Apartments drew a $1.1 million sales price.
The seller was New York-based Hunter Realty LLC. The buyer was CT Metro Holdings I & II, Corp.
The Middletown garden-style complex at 44-46 Camp St. consists of two detached three-story apartment buildings built in 1968. Sixty of the units range in size from one-bedroom, 700 square feet, to 36 two-bedroom units with 850 square feet.
In Torrington, the 33-unit Westridge Apartments at 270 High St. was built in 1960. The brick building has 22 one- and 11 two-bedroom units.
Brazer’s Manchester Space
New Hampshire-based Accurate Brazing has recently leased 12,000 square feet at 2 Progress Drive in Manchester.
The company performs vacuum brazing and heat treating on metals. Its other locations are in Goffstown, N.H., and Greenville, S.C.
Accurate Brazing is part of the Dutch-based Aalberts Group.
Sentry Commercial represented the tenant in lease negotiations.
Windsor Building Sells
Action Technology and Investment Inc. paid $600,000 for a 7,000-square-foot building at 276 Addison Road in Windsor.
Action bought the single-story office building property from Ricshaw Realty LLC.
Darly Custom Technology plans to move into the property, according to Sentry Commercial, which represented the buyer in the deal.
Portland Ad Agency Moves
Portland full-service ad agency Stifel & Marcin has moved to larger quarters in the riverfront town.
Principal Christine Marcin, who joined the firm three or four years ago as a partner, said she moved her business from 300 cramped square feet at 97 East Main St. to about 1,400 square feet at 329 Main St., where she now has four full-time employees.
Prosthetics Maker’s Space
Comprehensive Prosthetics Services LLC leased 1,024 square feet of offices at 11 Sycamore Way in Branford.
Owner John Zenie designs and specializes in prosthetics for upper extremities and orthotics.
The landlord is Gray Eagle Corp.
Branford Apartments Sold
Three adjacent apartment buildings on Branford’s Main Street sold recently for $985,000.
RPV LLC sold the trio — 65, 67, & 69 South Main St. — to Thirteen LLC and South Main Street LLC, which will continue to rent apartments at the property.
The buildings consist of 11 apartments and 5,000 square feet of vacant space.
The Geenty Group was the sole broker in the deal.
Old Saybrook Leases
A certified public accounting firm and a hospital have signed up for space in the Old Saybrook Business Park.
Accountant Reed & Associates leased 2,301 square feet of offices at 20 Research Parkway. Reed’s main business is performing audits for the federal government.
At nearby 5 Research Parkway, The Natchaug Hospital leased 5,860 square feet for an alternative school-counseling center serving shoreline area towns and their students.
The business park’s landlord is Mill Meadow Development LLC.
