Apartment complex with nearly 200 units pitched in Monroe

A developer is proposing a multi-building housing complex with nearly 200 apartments on Main Street in Monroe.

Owner and applicant Pond View LLC and Sabrina Keillor of Sarasota, Fla., have an application before the Monroe Planning and Zoning Commission to build seven multi-story residential buildings with 28 units each, a clubhouse, electric vehicle charging stations, and four garages on nearly 20 acres of land at 127 Main St.

The vacant property has an appraised value of $1.3 million.

The design was previously approved as a Special Development District in 2022.

Each building will be almost 12,000 square feet, and the complex will have three 12-bay garages, one six-bay garage and an 8,144-square-foot clubhouse with outdoor recreation and amenity space.

Members of the development team could not be reached for comment.
