Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut is offering a new vision plan that gives patients access to a wider network of providers.
The Blue View Vision plan provides access to more than 700Â network providers in Connecticut, and more than 50,000 providers and provider locations nationwide. The network includes ophthalmologists, optometrists, and opticians. In addition to private practitioners, Blue View Vision provides network access to retailers with locations throughout the country, including LensCrafters, Target Optical, JC Penney Optical, Sears Optical and Pearle Vision.Â
“When employees get the vision care they need, productivity increases,” said David R. Fusco, president, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.Â
Blue View Vision members can receive comprehensive eye examinations and coverage for lenses and frames or contact lenses. Members also can save up to 40 percent on the purchase of extra pairs of eyewear, conventional contact lenses, lens treatments, specialized lenses and other non-covered items, even after they’ve exhausted their covered benefits.
