Annie Lamont appointed to Bloomberg’s board of directors

New York City financial and media company Bloomberg recently announced that Gov. Ned Lamont’s wife, a successful healthcare venture capitalist, has been appointed to its board of directors.

Annie Lamont, the first lady of Connecticut since 2019, is co-founder and managing partner of Stamford-based venture capital firm Oak HC/FT, where she focuses on growth equity and early-stage investments in healthcare and fintech companies. 

Prior to founding Oak HC/FT, she spent 28 years at Oak Investment Partners, where she served as managing partner and led the healthcare and fintech practices.

Lamont is among 10 new board members tasked with helping to oversee and guide Bloomberg’s strategy and performance.

Bloomberg is a privately held financial, software, data and media company headquartered in Midtown Manhattan.

According to Bloomberg, Lamont has been a core participant in the Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary’s Innovation and Investment Summit, and currently serves on numerous boards, including Advise Health Holdings, Brightline, CareBridge, Main Street Health, Modern Age, Quartet, Rubicon Founders, Truepill, Vesta Health and VillageMD. 

Also, she is a board observer at Precision Medicine Group and served on the board of trustees at Stanford University.
