A top executive of a digital animation studio in suburban New York City has met with state lawmakers about financial incentives to move to Greenwich.
Brian Keane, chief operating officer of Blue Sky Studios, which produced “Ice Age” and “Horton Hears a Who,” met with lobbyists and members of the General Assembly. The Greenwich Time reported that he would not discuss specifics about his meetings with lawmakers.
A message seeking comment was placed Friday morning with Blue Sky.
Blue Sky, which employs 300 workers in White Plains, N.Y., has signed a lease in Greenwich.
A proposal circulated by House Speaker James Amann, D-Milford, would lift the annual cap on the credits from $15 million to $25 million. He says the company underestimated how much it would need, prompting the speaker to propose lifting the cap to $25 million.
